BANK GUARANTEES

Has everybody on this forum received their bank gruarantees from GT?  We signed our contract on 5 September 07 and were promised we would received our guarantees some 15 days later.  To date, we are still not in receipt of them.  We have threatened to recind our contract with them if they are not received shortly, but this doesn't seem to fase them.  They are clearly in breach of their contract but appear not to care.

We urged our solicitor to find out what was happening in November and he informed us the GT had the guarantees, however, the correspondence stated the wrong plot number and had to be done again.  I found this an acceptable explanation at the time, until Miss Moneypenny informed me that they too had received the same excuse! However, they did receive them eventually.  We are sick of chasing GT and so is our solicitor.  It seems they choose to ignore us and our solicitor everytime we request an update.  What concerns us deeply, is if the company suddenly went bust, we would have nothing to fall back on, and that is an extremely worrying fact!!!

Please can you advise us if you have received them or been given the runaround like we have.  All answers will be greatly appreciated, cos this is bordering on the ridiculous now!

HEEEEYYYYYHOOOOO!!!!

Received an email for our solicitor in Spain today, he has finally received our bank guarantee from the bank for our purchase on Royal Dream.  He is looking it over and will advise if all in order.

Hope everybody else has received theirs too if they are waiting like we were!!

Onward and upwards now!

Hi All

Just to let you know latest.  Although we have decid ed not to buy on either of the Royal Dream or the Golf resort we visted both sites on the way to the development we are buying on Saturday

There werelorries moving earth, trees etc on the golf resort bot the only movement on RoaylDream was the one lorry up there had turned in the opposite direction from a previous visit.

Royal Dreams show house are having the finishing touches put to them - gardens walls etc.

The security man up there is very nice and will let youin to look round, he has a very friendly dog

As we are passing these sites on a regular basis at the moment any major developments will report

Hello everyone

We have also received our guarantee and our solicitor is happy for us to sign and return them. I did query why the amount was slightly different to what we had paid and I was informed that the initial deposit was not covered by the guarantee.

Hi there,

Just joined up so am going all around the web site looking for help and views.

i am "buying" on Royal Dream.

I have what is supposed to be a  "Bank Guarantees"

When I got them I went to the office in Campos Del Rio and was informed that everything was in order.

Have been told that work will begin in January.

Have not visited Royal Dream recently but went to Campos Del Rio the other day.

There was some work going on and there were changes since my last visit, but did not have my camera as we were only just passing and decided to look in.

Live not far from both sites so can get there easily. Anyone who reads this please try and contact me so that we can keep each other informed of any progress or lack of it.
