Is there anyone who has completed their purchase with Mirador at Fuente de Piedra phase 1, are you happy the house is now legally yours, can you give us any guide to the amount over the original budget? I don't know wither to complete or just sue either way its not the outcome I was looking for.

Its my understanding that a number of Brits including some posters to this board have completed by accepting Miradors 12000 + VAT extra charge. This does not of course preclude them from taking Mirador and or Palmera to court subsequently. We have yet to get our final offer from Mirador so have not have to make that decision as yet.

Apparently about 15 houses have been signed off. There are 2 or 3 familes in occupation. After today's article in the paper though, I shouldn't think they'll be allowed to do anything else. They might be in prison.

Could you please let us know what the article in the paper was about. There are a group of us about to complete on this purchase and this posting is very worrying. Who do you think is going to prison? Any more information would be appreciated.

As I've said in a private reply, I'd advise getting the article translated, but I'm sure that of the 97 pople that have read this, someone will have done that already. If not, I'll see what I can do.
There's basically been a lot of dodgy stuff and the judge is "interviewing" people.

Hello to all.
A few of us are going to Malaga on Tues 29th for the second batch of Fuente de Piedra potential owners to launch our action against both Mirador and Palmera. I will be going to the Fuente site and will report back. I also need to go my bank in Benalmadena so will see if palmera headquarters are still going, though I doubt it.
If I can manage to not have my camera stolen again this time I will put more photos on this site.

We have decided not to complete on our property in phase !. They are now asking for so many extra costs eg €9,000 for us being a resale, 12,000 for the additions, which in the main are required by building regulations, extra legal costs etc etc etc. When in fact we are getting less eg no garage and a postage stamp garden. Enough is enough and we are now going to sue both Palmera and Mirador. We would not put up with what has happened in England so why do so in Spain?
I believe Palmera Properties now have a base in Fuengirola and their website is still up and running so they are probably still contactable.

Would appreciate advice from those in a similar situation. To complete or not to complete? Anyone with answers to the following questions?
1. If we complete - will everything be legal? Have the licencia de obras and licenicia de ocupacion been properly granted?
2. How can we challenge the 12000 euros "extras" by Mirador. Why has this been charged and who is repsonsible for it?
3. How can we challenge the 9000 euros "transfer" fee as we have a resale. We are told this has arisen through mistakes made by Palmera? Is this correct? Do we have to pay it? Can we sue for it back?
4. What are the dangers of not completing?
Lots of questions I know, but we have received different advice form different "qualified" people. What have you been told?
