Hi everyone,
Just to let you know that we have now completed and will be going over to Fuente De Peidra on 1st March, for one week, to try and arrange a kitchen and some furniture. Thanks to this site we have made lots of "telephone friends" If anybody is over for the first week of March please let me know and we can meet up for a drink or two!!! We are actually staying in F d P in an apartment but will not arrive until very late Saturday night. I am quite prepared to give you my mobile number by private message.

Enhorabuena a todos.
Did I mention that we have a little Eroski now? Means you don't have to worry about milk and veg and stuff on arrival. Hell, they even sell teabags.
The bad news is that the bar opposite Boli (was Jayne's) now has regular karaoke and acts from down the coast. And what was the english restaurant is now a caff with plastic tablecloths.
When you come visiting, bring some english rain with you please, as the drought is now at its worst in 60 years. Those of you that haven't already done it might like to think about installing a water tank for when the supply goes off. Not a very nice holiday if you can't have a shower.
¡Que disfrutéis!

Hi wibbleypants,
I see you are stirring it again, why if you have nothing constructive to say do you not go away. I now live in the village and there is an
Eroski opened and it is great, but do you not think you are being very unfair about the English café,
Yes it has change hands and is now a more affordable place to eat, the people that run it are friendly and the prices are now affordable were as before they were out of the price range of the many of the people in the village, I have not seen the plastic tablecloths.
Instead of being all doom and gloom why not give the village were you live some credit for the effort that has been made over the last few years to make it a better place, please do the right thing and move some ware that you like and stop moaning

Sorry, although this doesn't have much to do with the "pink houses" I have to agree with Wibbleypants. The restaurant was a great place and excellent value when it was "On the Square"; beautiful food and a great ambiance. From the couple of visits I've made there since it's just a "caff".
And, having arrived in F de P seven years ago (and since left altogether) I find I am hard pushed to think of any "improvements" since then - it's been downhill ever since.
