General stuff

I was in spain last week - the development is getting greener and coming on well - the pool area has been painted white too.  Weather mixed but alot warmer than here.........   

I gather that phase ii sales have slowed a little (about 20% sold) but building activity in pressing on - talk of getting an operator for the indoor pool and restaurants by the end of the year, we shall see.  I saw Key Mare who said that they are still paying the community contribution in relation to properties that have not completed - still quite a few to go apparently -  i haven't paid anything since the initial E150 and never get a reply from Comunitas - is everyone else paying the monthly charge and who is the contact there??

I also managed to make some progress on the local taxes front - from what i could gather from the two tax offices in Vera - those who completed purchases in the second half of 2007 (all I guess) do not have to pay the local property tax for 2007.  They are valuing the properties now and will tell us what the charges are in May - you can pay between July and November and are fined for late payment past mid December.  No guarantees here!!!

I was on a computer list for the rubbish collection taxes - about 60 euros for 2 quarters so it is not all good news.

Details for our  Communitas  contact is as below.  we have spoken to them several times to ask them to re tune the community satellite to improve the british programmes  - which apparently is an easy task but impossible to get someone to organise  .  We have also mentioned to them about the amount of mud that is always on the paths as a result of constant overwatering. 

They are a bit of waste of space in our opinion,  although we did insist that they email us  the details of the meeting  ( which they confirmed at Christmas) and that they were putting the paperwork together to send out - but that took them five weeks !  is

Out of interest We shall post a thread asking for people to contribute any queries or concerns so that those not able to get to the meeting will be able to perhaps get their issues raised by others who are able to go.  Dont forget we have to vote for a vice president of  british origen to represent our interests.  Anyone going for it - I know that there is an english permanent resident on site who  interested

Unfortunately we can't get there until Sunday therefore will miss the meeting but will pass on our voting proxy to someone who will be attending
