Re the dogs. we have been out several times since purchasing and so far we have had no problems with "wild dogs" running amok, we were actually out last in the middle of October and there was no sight of them, but I am aware that there is a family of wild dogs mum and 2 youngsters that live off the complex but in the vicinity. Last time I saw them was August and only briefly and it wasn't on the complex. They do tend to avoid people when ever possible. Once the site is completely secure I dont think the wild dogs will be an issue. With regard to resident dogs, occasional barking is heard but so far all are kept under control and I have always seen owners clean up after them. I have never seen dogs loose around the pool and if they are fouling it has been cleaned up. Long may it continue!
We too have a dog but it stays at home as we dont live there full time but with regard to catching things - I think you can only do what you can do, just ensure that they are fully up to date with every innoculation recommended by the vet. Just like us going on holiday, if you are visiting a country with infectious diseases, you have the jabs! Really useful tip is to train the dog not to bark when you go out - most important if you want to keep in with the neighbours!
Hope this helps - Sue and Paul
