Most of the purchasers on this development will have by now have recieved a telephone call from the completions department.  Kelly, who called me, mentioned that Universal (?) will be in touch with me regarding the developers mortgage and any other options. 

I have already made some enquiries with an independent mortgage broker in Spain as well as with Bank of Santander.  Just wondered if anyone has spoken to Universal or have any other avenues they are exploring for their mortgage?

yes, I've spoken to Universal.

I've been emailing them and dealing with Susan Mills who has been very helpful - I've got a high level indicative quote from them for Euro 160k on an interest only basis @ 5.1%.

I did also enquire with NatWest but their rate was slightly higher, similar arangement fees and they don't provide a Euro current account automatically. I can arrange one with them but there are transaction charges.
