Monarch Airlines criticised by CIT Marbella

Anyone else watching this on British TV tonight.?  GrupoMasa getting a lot of bad publicity over cracking walls etc at Camposol and responding in their normal 'not my fault' mode.

 

 

Hi Rosemary, watching it too and wondered if anyone else was. 

It is a doom and gloom programme of course, but Masa seem to be literaly blackmailing those people - stop your court action or we'll ignore your problems.    What about the building guarantee.  Seems Masa decide to ignore it just because they don't like the legal action.   Even worse - the buyers have created all of those building faults themselves!  Incredible and a bit frightening.  Scary stuff.

Missed it!!.What was the programme?

Was it any particular section on Camposol or was it general?

It was on various developments in Europe but Masa got a special mention at Camposol.

Hi Pat & Trish, I think the programme was called Holiday Homes From Hell, as Rosemary posted it. 

Did not name a specific part of Camposol but showed a british engineer looking at a certain part of the development from a higher point, to see where water would run off the hills behind down to the valley.  Showed where lots of ground had moved, causing awful damage to the properties.  But, as Masa says.........the buyers caused it themselves!

Also showed the Prior's house being demolished, a heartbreaking sight.  I hope they get compensation from the Spanish government somehow.

I cannot understand why people did not simply use the 10 year guarntee scheme in which they can bypass MASA

Camposol howevevr is a whole different ball game to Sierra Golf, the land is very different in composition

 

Although it sticks in my throat somewhat to say the following about MASA I feel the program makers took a hell of a lot of time to focus on a couple of properties that had problems without giving anything but bad press about the whole of Camposol.

I have stayed in various types of property there and on an development with around 8000 homes have never had any problems.

If someone decides to have a rather large swimming pool built next to thier house, you can, on the odd occation, get problems, also did you all notice the lack of trees in these properties to bind the soil together. ( I think this was MASA's way of saying it's the owners fault.

As we all know the build quality on Sierra Golf is much better but there are still problems that are slowly getting resolved.

These programs I believe are aimed at trying to stop Brits from chucking it all in and looking for a more affordable life in Spain.

hi we are now on sierra golf m14 40 i thought i would start this reply with that bit of information  as for the holiday homes from hell well i can give our version of camposol as we had a home there for 4 years  we was quite lucky when we got a buyer for ours we used to go to camposol about 16 weeks a year and every time we went we had to fill in several cracks in we was on c2 and ..other clasicos on streets at the side of us had their front patio come away from the main building as with anyone who on sierra golf will tell you if you do any work on your property masa will allways say your 10 year warenty is void so you can imagine what they are saying at camposol.we found some of the things about camposol was good the vast majority was bad masa never seemed to finish off one phase before starting the next .the programe last night did not show anywhere near the problems that the people on camposol are having and if anyone wishes to go and take a look im sure you will see just how many problems their is .

As inspector homes said this is a different site. Just look forward to your new home in Spain. by the way the temp today was 25c
