We wonder if this is a record, after reading a number of you messages concerning
completion times, we originally came out in Feb 2003 with agents Medsea in Vera
Playa, and eventually completed on the 26th Sept 2006,and moved in on the 3rd
Oct. Contract date was specified as May 2005, as yet no apology from Mar y
Casas, but we are not holding our breath. Have any of you had snagging problems,
especially with ground floor properties? E.G. A child with a pencil could open the
so called security shutters, and all the double glazing panels can easily be lifted off
their tracks. For 300 euros Palm Properties can remedy this, they know a man who
can. Check your bath, on ours the enamel was flaking off, apparently the "bath
doctor" ! had been at it. We had to have it replaced after complaining at the builders
office. This was just one of many instances of poor snagging by our agents. Don't
rely on them and make sure you check everything, we found a number of cracked
wall and floor tiles also and no wiring for a ceiling light in the shower room. Fancy a
shower tray and no screens fitted, more expense! Has anyone visited Gesisur the
community solicitors yet. They wanted money up front for the installation of water
and electricity meters etc and the first 3 months of community charges. Have you all
paid up? If you find problems on the complex do go and report to them. We found
an open inspection pit full of water in the top pool area, a danger to young children.
No life belt anywhere and the pool depths are not marked it is 2.5m at the deep end.
despite all this we are very pleased we bought here, especially when we heard of the
huge Marina they are building up the coast, and I am sure in a couple years Los
Collados will be a great urbanisation.
