Ive just taken over the Castilla Bar on the Lemon Tree Rd cv 895 Campo de Guardamar and made it a non smoking bar plus the pool and darts room is non smoking. The out side areas are pleasent and smokers can light up in these areas.
We have had good responce from non smokers but now we have heard that Spain has put off till next year the total ban on smoking in bars we now feel rather out on a limb (it should have been introduced on the 22nd June).
We promote dance and music in the bar and most participants like it that it is a non smokie enviroment.
Ive smoked myself in the past i managed to give up 17 years ago and hated to be told about where or when i could smoke so i do understand both sides, giving up was the best but also the hardest thing ive ever done.
So what do you all think, is it madness or support, im probably stiring up a hornets nest which was never the plan, just creating somewhere where people can come along and not go home smelling of ciggies it works okay in the uk and smokers now except it.
