Hi
I am tryingto start a basic forum to review all of the restaurants in and around the Duquesa area. From my knowledge there is not a specific site for this area.
I am in need of REVIEWS. Please help if you can by becoming a "Duquesa Restaurant Critic" and submit your reviews on the great and not so great restaurant you have visited.
I am hoping that over the next few months we will be a one stop shop to all of us who love good food in this fantastic part of the world.
Please go to
duquesarestaurantcritic.net
If you can post your reviews under the categories listed, it would be a very big help in getting the forum up and running!
Thanks, I look forward to your reviews!

The only thing with giving a review is when you find one you like then go back and it's awful, I have found that time and time again and stop telling people now.

Ditto Leema. I endorse that!
OR it gets SO popular we can't get in.
I've found some real finds I'M keeping quiet about.

I have had that same experience. It tends to be the English owned establishments. They open up and it's all great and then they change chefs and try cut corners and the food is overpriced rubbish.
But I have discovered there is a way to tell and that is if they start putting up lots of lights and signs then it means they are on the way out!
There are some very good pricey Spanish owned and ran and they still do well even in the recession without flashing lights.
What's required is a better forum site that rates based on recent posts only

I agree with you both, you get fed up of trying to find a decent place to eat, I ate at one in Sabiniilas on the front the Argentian steak place and raved about it, when our family came over there was 14 of us and it was awful and I shudder when I pass it. I don't find it is the english that is bad as we don't tend to eat english when we come out.

I live near Torrevieja. It would be really good to have a similar website for reviewing restaurants around here. Does anyone know of any?
