Average pay £120,000 per week, suggest Gerrard and the boys need a pay rise, it's easy to see by their body language that they are thinking of industrial action, £150,000 per week would help his and the teams  performance no end.

So come on boys, lets say it....

I think the best solution would be to cut their pay by 5% and give the money to the poor foolish fans who have gone out to South Africa at great expense and who are getting very little back for their money!

Sue, I have no sympathy for the fools who part with SO MUCH MONEY to go watch football no matter where it's played. The phrase 'more money than sense' springs to my mind. Yes ... they hope their team will win, yes ... their team should give value for money but they pay their money & take their chance in my opinion.

We quite agree, though John's son David (who is far from wealthy but a fanatic football supporter) has gone out there and we have a bit of sympathy for him.   At least all my son Mark (who is also a football fan but who has even less money!) did was organise a World Cup barbeque at home in London (and got his sister to do all the food and make cocktails!), which I think was the better option as Kate is a great cook so they could enjoy the food if not the football!

Tell hubby he's too darned clever! I assume that he expects both England and España to go out at this stage?

 Cut their pay by 5%?  Should be cut by 90% then ticket prices could be cut too so more people could go to matches,.

If they don't like it they can always go + play abroad , but most of them aren't skilled enough
