Im looking for a villa to rent

 We are looking to rent a lovely villa from April 2011 in Benalmadena, Fuengirola or  possibly the Nerja area, for up to a year, we need between 3-4 bedrooms and a garden with a pool... its for 2 adults & a gorgeous well house trained beagle (plus visitors every now & then)...

We have quite high standards as we are the proud owners of a beautiful 2 bed apartment in Elviria, however we need more room for a long term stay...

Can anyone help as we have been looking for some time now & have only seen typical rentals, we have been told by all the agents to start looking in February, but we think this is leaving it rather late!

Jamie, have you had a look at the private long term rentals on the site here?

There may be something of interest there.

Have you tried estate agents rather than rental agencies who might have a suitable property on their books for sale whereby owner might be persuaded to consider a 12 month rental contract?

The problem might be those type of villa (with pool) is they are good for short-term lets over summer and an owner could probably make more on 12-16 weeks at peak than say a 12 month contract and still get to use property off season etc

Maybe offer to pay the 12 months up front.
