Maternity services on Costa Blanca...experiences
The Comments |
Hi all, im very keen to learn about the maternity services offered in Spain. If anyone could let me know of their experiences id be very grateful. Im a Midwife in the UK. My partner and I have a property near Rojales and we wish to make a permanent move in the near future. Im considering offering my services to the ex pat community as a "Doula" or birth attendant.
I would offer some antenatal preparation, birth support and postnatal support in the early days. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas please get in touch. Thank you Ali

Moved over to the Costa B 6 years ago with no intention of having a baby. 3 years down the line we found we had our bundle of joy on the way and had to make a decision whether to use our private medical scheme OR the State system for the duration of the pregnancy. We decided that we would go through the earlier stages in the state system and change over to the Private scheme later on in the pregnancy. We were so impressed with the state system that we remained in this system throughout - our private healthcare (for all 3 of us) still remains unused ,,,,,
