Has anyone else noticed the latest Endesa …ripoff…. Sorry …anomaly?
The September bills were issued on estimated readings and at the prevailing rate of 0.117750 €/kWh
The October bills are issued on real readings at the new rate of 0.119412 €/kWh (Rate increase effective 29th September)
Now here’s the clever bit – the estimated September bill is credited back (at the old rate), the whole consumption of September and October is then billed at the new rate which was not in effect during September. OK it’s a tiny amount per consumer but when you have that many consumers it must be a tidy sum. It’s a 1% gain on the September consumption for no outlay. Remember the bank scam of rounding up the half cents on the interest and slipping it away into their own coffers?
I’m sure there’s an IVA implication here as well.
This won’t apply to everyone because reading dates and billing dates vary.
