Orihuela Medieval Market

The Medieval Market in Orihuela is the biggest in Spain and is just amazing!  It is on for three days from the 4th to 6th May and do watch the video - even if you can't understand Spanish it gives a real flavour of the event.

I went a few years back.  They hold the medieval market in different towns around Spain.

The old the market in the old distict of Orihuela, which really adds to the ambience.

It's really good for everyone, plenty to see, buy and eat.

It's also good at night as well.

Think you will find it is from the 4th to 6th Feb not May. Allow at least one full day as it is huge, best I have ever been to

I have been to the last two and they were fantastic.  There is a siesta so I find it is better to go quite early in the morning or arrive around 4pm and stay until around midnight.
