Murcia Bank

Hi,

    Just in the process of completing on a property on phase 4 @ Roda Golf & would like help choosing a local bank as i hear the charges can differ greatly from bank to bank !

Can anyone help !

 How long is a piece of string... Hi, and welcome! You will probably get lots of answers to this questions, all of which will contradict each other! All I can say is we have an current account with debit card and a mortgage with Bancaja and have found them to be very good. English web-site, internet access to your account, all statements in English, which are sent to your English address. Lots of branches all over Spain most of which usually have someone who speaks English. So there you are! Cue lots of people disagreeing with me! Hope this helps.

Hi Rusty, yes Tony is right most people will say their Spanish bank is the best.  As we banked with Barclays in the UK for many years we decided toopen an account at Barclays in Murcia City and found them to be very helpfull, the manager actually set up our online banking and remembers our first names on the odd occasion we go in. (every three months)   We can use a number of ATM's without commision and the beauty is there is a branch no more than a kilometre fom Roda Golf.
