Which supermarkets sell bread flour?
The Comments |
Hi
My mum wants a breadmaker as she used to have one in the UK. Can anyone tell me which of the supermarkets sell bread flour and do they sell the wholemeal bread flour. i think thats what she asked for. She liked to make grannary bread. What is the spanish name for the bread flour.
if i know she can buy it here then i will get her a breadmaker for her birthday next month. I have not had time to look myself due to work, but she has been looking at the breadmakers so i assume you should be able to buy the flour.

Hi Crispy
Wholemeal bread flour (Integral) is available from both Mercadona and Lidl in packet form, just add water.
Someone was telling me the other day that they buy flour direct from a local bakers shop in 2kg bags which is much nicer, but then you will need yeast as well.

Spanish word for flour is harina and bread pan, so possibly it could be called harina de pan, or something along those lines. Im sure someone will correct me. If you have an Iceland nearby they sale everything for bread making !!

Yes we do have an iceland in Fuengirola. So i take it they sell the yeast as well then. I am going in there on Tuesday so will have a look at what they stock and the prices.
Many thanks

Dunnes store a little further down the road also used to sell flour but I know they have significantly reduced their food section so maybe do not stock it now.
But you should be able to get everything you need in Iceland.
