Trouble with room safe

Hi
Can anyone help me. The previous tenants of my apartment have left the safe open on departure but the locking "bolts" are still out and the door won't close , tried the override code and that doesn't move them Cant think what to do Help !!

Is this an electronic safe? Have you checked the batteries? Ours failed last year with the door locked, in which case, you should have an override key.
