Question for Justin re. privacy
The Comments |
Yesterday I left a comment on the article "10 things you didn't know about Justin and Eye On Spain". Today I have received the following message from my husband who is away at sea:
I have just received the Eye on Spain e-mail and who should be showing up as a supporter of Justin's article detailing his 10 things we did not know but you and your picture and a direct line to your facebook page? I am hoping it is only because I know you that I was allowed to see your page and that the other 10000 people reading EOS do not have access?
This is very worrying. Please can you let me know if my details are safe?

Hi Suzi you have nothing to worry about! You are referring to the Facebook Like button on the page. You must have clicked the like button which means that your Facebook friends can see that you liked it. That's it. The button has nothing to do with us obviously Facebook isn't sharing of your information with us, only the fact that you liked the article. Hope that explains it ok You really have nohing to worry about. Justin

I should check your Facebook privacy settings Suzi. They have recently introduced some new features that allow friends, friends of friends and others (depending on your settings) to see details about you on sites that carry Facebook links. It's something along the lines of personalisation.

Thanks for the reassurance Justin
And also, to Mark, good idea - have checked privacy settings on FB and I only allow friends and family, so it's all good.
I can sleep peacefully now!
