Hi - does anyone know if there is a service which will uplift a broken fridge / freezer?  It is in the Lo Crispin area of Algorfa, near Torrevieja and I can't shift it on my own, so wondered if there were companies who would recycle it - or even if the council did a scheme.

Thanks

Try looking in your local copy of Yellow Pages (PaginasAmarillas) under: Recogida de Enseres (which means Appliance Removal)

or under: Residuos Domesticos y Urbanos (which means Domestic and Urban Waste)

or you can search Yellow pages online for both: PaginasAmarillas.es

Make sure you refine your search under Province: Select Provincia under Puedes refinar tu busqueda

Having said all that, someone did tell me that you can arrange collection with your local town hall (Ayuntamiento), but that may only be here in Andalucia.

We have a very good recycle service for any thing electrical or metalic, they are usually named Mohamed and will collect from your house and you can find them by the refuse bins.

If you bought a new unit then usually (always) the supplier will take away the old one.

I would endorse the previous post. The shop supplying your new fridge will take away the old one.
