Rent to Rent

Just a thought. Has anyone, especially those 'trapped' in an unsold property thought of renting it and using that income to themselves rent wherever they wish to live? I know one or two who do so. In particular a Swedish lady friend. She owns a one-bed apartment in Gothenburg. She lets if for €650 a month; rents in Torrevieja (a really nice home) for €400 a month, and obviously the surplus keeps here in the basic necessities.
