Golden Retrievers
The Comments |
I have 2 golden retrievers, Jack aged 5 and Melda aged 6, mum and son. They desperately need a new home together due to me having to move to a smaller house after my husband dying. They are fantastic with kids - they have been around my 3 year old since his birth and very very lonely at the moment. Love human company and long walks. They are free to a good home but are not up to date with their injections (don't have the money to pay).
Please if anyone out there can care for them get in touch. I am in the Mijas Costa/Fuengirola area.

Hi, sorry to read about your loss, and I hope someone does take your dogs for you. They are such a gentle loyal breed, and I'm sure you will get them re-homed. I have a 3 year old Retriever called Ted...he is the biggest, softest dog you could wish to meet. A perfect pet....Good luck.

Hi Lyn - so sorry to hear about your loss. We have a four year old Goldie ourselves and know what loving animals and real family members they become. We dont have the room for another one ourselves but I will put the feelers out to see if we can help. So frequently Charlie is admired and people seem to want to take him. I assume that you dont want to split them up which obviously cuts down on choice of homes.

Hi Lyn, my condolences. Hope you find a good home for your 2 Goldies. My Goldie is now almost 13 - but thinks he is 3 - so loving with everyone especially children. I would like to have your two but have just taken on a pup and simply would not be able to cope with 4 dogs. I will ask around for you. Good luck and hope you find them a home soon.

Yes please do ask around, I think it would break their hearts to be seperated.

Hi Lyn I am fairly certain I know the answer to this question already but are their vaccinations so out of date they would need to go through a period of quarantine before going back to the UK. One of my buddies over there (sister lives here but has three dogs already) might be interested (a very "doggy" family) but has asked me to clarify. My own understanding is that if annual rabies jabs are kept up to date then quarantine does not become an issue but I think there has to be continuity so maybe you can clarify please.

Hi
Unfortunately my late husband didn't keep up with the jabs so they are in 'arrears' so to speak. I would get them done but money is so tight, all I want is for them to find a nice home now.
