What an amazing garden - the size of the project is staggering! I have seen some small areas around Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa where neighbours have planted up the wild areas opposite their houses but have never seen anything on this scale. How did it start - did one person begin and then others joined in, or was it a full community project from the start?
Where I live, we did clear a small overgrown area for a community BBQ space and had started to put in a few plants, but then the owner of the vacant land (CAM bank) came and fenced it all off - now our plants are dying behind the fence! There is another area which is not fenced so maybe we can take some inspiration from this garden and start over again.
Well done to everyone involved!

Hi Guys the community in question have worked together to form these gardens over the last three years or so ......every Sunday (or most) the president posts the meeting time for garden work ....fantastic ....Ex Pats ,Spanish alike all play their part ....the president (Mike) is a great team leader but he is the first not to single himself out.......another member of the community known as Trident has been known to spend days transporting rocks for the rockeries in his old Mini car and another time shifted 20 tonnes of gravel in one day .........my video does not do these gardens justice if your in the area pay them a visit .
I took mt parents in law round them last week they had one word......breathtaking.
