I spoke to my branch of Barclays about cheques a while back, as all cheques in my book are open. I asked if a crossed cheque could be issued in spain and was told the answer. Can anyone enlighten me please? I know you have to put in the two llines, but what is it you have to write?

Thanks

Mark

write the words PARA ABONAR EN CUENTA (For Payee's Account) in between the lines which ensures that the cheque can only be paid into the payee's bank account.
