Car hire companies BASED in Alicante airport
The Comments |
Can ayone tell me which actual car hire companies are based on site at Alicante. In april this year we hired a car just as the airport had opened and had to wait for a shuttle bus to drive us to a location 1 mile down the road and had the added complication of driving the car back there and then had to be shuttled back. It all took so much longer than walking through like we usually have done.
I know hertz are at the back but they are epxensive, who else is based on site please?

Hi,
we always hire online with Carhire3000 (a UK company) they are brokers and always get us the bet offer. We have often been upgraded at no extra charge. The cars are all within a short walking distance of the airport exit. We have never encountered any difficulties. Good luck Loulindy

Hi
i've also used carhire300 on numerous occasions along with record rentacar.
Nice cars, no problems with either company, competitive rates and they'll email you with special offers etc.
Good luck !

Are there any details on the airport website ? There might be a list of companies based at the airport.
We too had to go to an off site point to collect the car but found it took about the same time as waiting in line in the huge queues in the old arrivals hall.
Perhaps there wll be more rental desks open now that things are up and running in the new terminal.

Hi,
We have found a fantastic company, we had found the last few times, the never ending queues, being shipped elsewhere with 2 young kids was getting to be a pain.
Try PJs rent a car.

they come to the airport, meet you of the plane and transfer you to your accomodation where your car will be waiting for you.
They then bring you back again ( no extra charge)!!
I just wish we had discovered them a few years ago

We usually use Carhhire3000 brokers and they get you the best deal but this time the company they used was Goldcar and for the first time we had an hour long queue. Not good when you got an 6.30am flight to avoid it.

As per MonikaBU's post I can also confirm that cheapholidaycar (.co.uk I think) are great. Used them twice now and they save you loads of money as well as picking you up & dropping you off at the airport. Doesn't charge extra for car seats or ultra inclusive insurance which saves you even more.
Gregg the owner is a real nice chap and has both english & spanish contact numbers.
Would definately recommend them !
