WAITING TIMES FOR AN OPERATION IN SPAIN
The Comments |
Hi,
can anyone tell me what the waiting times are for an arthroscopy
in spain, from seeing your doctor the first time to the actual
operation. (I am in the murcia region)

This will depend on the medical centre of each place, there are not set timescales, i know people who have waited months for one thing and others only a few days, unfortunately there is no telling.

There has been a statement issued this week saying that nobody has to wait any longer than 30 days for surgery in Torrevieja hospital All 12 theatres will not operate after 3.00pm other than emergencies. If you have problems in your area it might be an idea to ask for a referal. Here patients are often sent to San Jaime private hospital if Torrevieja is unable to treat the patient within the specified timescale.

Yesterday I had an appointment with the eye dept at Mijas CARE. I arrived 25 minutes early, was seen immediately and was back home at the time my was due. That must be some sort of record.
