Property market
The Comments |
Hi there. I am interested to know if anyone has information about selling our home in Spain in the current climate. We have a large townhouse in Alora (Malaga area) and want to sell as we dont really go there too much now. Are properties selling at all? Is it really as bad in Spain as I keep reading?

That depends on how badly you want to sell, how long you have had it, how much (or how little) you are prepared to accept for it - plus all the other usual factors like its desirability, facilities etc. I am looking for a new place (bigger than the one I have), but I am only looking at bank repos or distressed sales. The market is pretty bad. Think UK market (outside of London) and level of badness and multiply by at least 20.

Answers to your questions.
1) There are thousands of unfinshed propertys all over spain for sale, thousands of second hand propertys for sale if you want to make a loss and i mean a real loss on your property sell now if you can
2) It´s bad in spain and may get worse, they say it may take a genaration to be back how it was
BUT I WOULD STILL LIVE HERE THEN THE U.K
