I couldn't find a suitable thread so I am sorry but I am sticking this question here for now.
Has anyone had any fencing done?
Our new property has 3,500 sqm of land and we're not sure whether to fence in the lot or half or whatever.
We have no idea of cost yet and thought about asking our builder but I understand there may be fencing contractors around?
Anyone have a price to throw at me please?
Cheers
Laury

Between €15 - €20 euros per meter for a 2m high fence fully erected.

Ouch!
3,450 sqm plot is far too big to fence in at that price. Perhaps we'll have a 1000 sqm garden and a couple of thopusand with cheap self erected chicken wire,
Thank you very much for the price.

Fibby I don't really understand your last comment but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were making a joke.
I simply wanted Laury to know that the price includes labour as well as the fence itself. I have been getting quotes to fence in my land and the cheapest has been €15/metre. This is for good quality fencing 2metres high with each post concreted into the ground. In other words, a good solid job similar to the type of fencing around tennis courts. I happen to think that the price is very cheap - but then, it depends on your circumstances.
Laury, your chicken wire idea is probably a good bet for the area of land that you are not cultivating but it won't stop ferile dogs (or ferile hunters ) etc getting onto your property.
