Garden plants

Hi caroinej . Most plants take about 3-4 weeks to form some roots but they need looking after for about 2 months really, but some of the cacti and succulents can be faster than that if you take some cuttings and put them in a large pot and not move them they might root ok if left really wet, its worth a chance you will proberly have the best success with cactus as they are so hardy , thats all I can say its all great fun if it takes root. Thanks, that's really helpful. I did leave a few cuttings in our window boxes (exposed to any rain there might be!) after being watered for a week or so. They were cuttings of succulents and side shoots from succulents. We're back in 3 weeks (having been away 5 weeks by then) so we'll see!
