Hi,
Does anyone have any idea of what the average winter bi monthly cost of natural gas should be, assuming it were being lightly used in a 2 bed home for evening time heating and daily water heating (shower and washing up).
I know my question is pretty vague but nevertheless I would be grateful for any replies.
Regards,
Joe.

It is quite difficult to answer your question.
For example, where is your home? You said 2 bedrooms but is it a villa, a quad or an apartment? All this will influence the cost of heating. I have a 2 bedroom apartment in Madrid and the bi-monthly gas bill on an average winter will be in the area of 250 Euros, but please note that this apartment is on a sixth floor, faces southeast as will normally have bright sunlight an average of 8 hours per day! The cost of gas for non-heating months comes down to about 30€ per month.
I also have a semi-detached apartment in the CDS but this one is heated with electricity and underfloor heating and even though the average winter temperature is higher than in Madrid and specially the night temperatures rarely hit freezing, as opposed to Madrid, the cost of heating is higher because it uses electricity. There I pay Iberdrola in the heating months approx. 400 euros per month. Non-heating months average 150 euros but I do have a couple of fridges and a swimming pool that are always on.
I hope this helps you but if you could provide more details on location and type of heat, perhaps you could receive more helpful replies.

As I said I cannot answer your question as it is such a variable situation, however, I understand that a standard size bottle (Think it’s12 kgs) will give 30 hours of use on a free standing room heater using ‘one bar.’

It also depends on where you will be staying in the Murcia region as we live in Jumilla, which is 500 metres above sea level, and Yecla is even higher. It can get very cold here at night and February was particularly cold this year. We have Natural Gas but only to heat the water, so bills aren't bad. We use electric fires and also electricity for cooking and our latest electricity bill (for 2 months) was just over 180€.
