We purchased a plot of land in Buenas Noches Estepona 5 years ago. We had the plans drawn and they went through the college of architecture. When we applied for the licence to build we were informed that no licences were being issued as the urbanisation had 'problems' which needed to be sorted out.
Our solicitor wrote to the Town Hall and it was explained about the new Mayor at that time deciding to put a halt on works to urbanisations and gave us various reasons which I am sure many people reading this are familiar with.
It has been quite difficult to get clear answers from the president of the urbanisation regarding what the situation is, and we have strongly relied on the minutes of their meetings and various brief conversations with them whenever we are over. The latest information we have been given is that there is a new Mayor and the project for the urbanisation has now been adopted by the Town Hall. Our understanding is that it will evetually re-urbanise.
Can anyone throw any further light on this subject? We pay our community charge each year but unfortunately we never even receive a newsletter, which in some ways would make us feel that we were being kept informed. We are not alone in this predicament. I am aware that there are others as frustrated, however Im not sure they have been waiting for quite as long as we have.
By the way, I registered with EOS earlier this year but have only just discovered these amazing wide reaching discussion sites. Brilliant!
