Stray dog problems

 My neighbour is looking for a rehoming dog home which would accept a stray which has been living around her house. Sadly this is such a huge problem around here with the dog respite homes full to overflowing. 

We understand some will take dogs but only give a short time to live if they cannot be rehomed. Are any of these places doing much to find good homes?

If anyone has any suggestions apart from the obvious (to ignore them) we would be grateful.

Are you on Facebook as Pets In Spain are great, you could add the dog's photo with any info your neighbour has plus contact details.
