If you are worried about a fire inside your house then I advise you to visit a UK Fire Service site ( most UK Fire Brigades have one ) & look up Fire Safety," Fire safety in the home". Advice given will be good for any country that you live in.
The important points are not to overcrowd your rooms with flamable material ( wood, paper plastics etc.), & to keep your escape routes clear from furniture & storage. Do make an escape plan in case of fire, & make sure that all of your houshold are aware of it. Keep the keys in the locks once you have locked the doors, you will need to open the doors quickly if you need to escape from a fire.
If you are worried about fires outside your property then the basic rule is to keep vegetation well away from your house so a fire cant reach your buildings, again, you should be able to get advice on the internet.
