I'll need an accoustic for my Spanish place. I'm tempted just to buy in the UK and I think Easyjet allow them in the cabin as long as it's in a soft cover.
Alternatively I could check out local sellers. Anyone know of guitar shops around Murcia/Cartaghena.......it's not a spanish guitar I'm looking for but a steel stringed dreadnaught type jumbo cutaway
any reccomendations folks ....and anyone used Spanish ebay ?

Hi,
In Cartagena you have the Proffonic shop, it's the place where everyone in the Mar Menor area has bought their electric and acoustic (or electro-acoustic) guitars for the last two decades.
You will find it in Google maps, very close to Carrefour Cartagena (in C/ Pintor Portela).

My sister recently brought her daughter's guitar on a 'plane from Frankfurt to Heathrow and was stung with a 50 euro charge each way - she said she would have been better off buying a cheap one in the UK and leaving it at our house, so I'd check on the charges beforehand.

Hola. Try milanuncios.com and segundamano.es. I bought an electric guitar and a desktop computer while in Málaga (capital), then sold them just before I left. It amounted to renting each for 3 months for 10€ apiece. It helps if you speak the language.
