The Spanish people made a stand ...and were counted

A LANDMARK ruling in Parliament has seen mortgage and repossession legislation changed thanks to a widespread society campaign. This People's Legislative Initiative (PLI) was due to be rejected by the PP government despite having been signed by over 1.4 million members of the public – more than three times what is needed to enforce a change in the law.
STORY : Historic Success for Social Campaigners - Laws Changed at PUBLIC'S REQUEST
Finally the Spanish people are standing up for their rights and are being heard and counted. I hope with this success the Spanish people continue to see the benefits of society campaigns and continue to drive forward and fight against corruption. At the end of the day it will be the Spanish People that gets Spain out of this crisis, not the politicians.
