I have the solution, or recipe, whatever!
Freshly baked bread, spread liberally with Oli oli (butter/garlic spread), thinly sliced parma ham, drizzled with Oli oli (garlic & oli Mayonnaise)!
Sounds wonderful, but don't kiss the boyfriend after!!!

If after reading the following message you still insist on living dangerously, you will probably find the address somewhere on this thread or,failing that, you could Google the threads title.
"Oh, I forgot to say, just don't look at the filth on the ceiling fans or in the kitchen. If it has a certificate of hygeine, I'd be most surprised. It's commonly mentioned that you can see what's on the menu by what's on the boss's apron"
But remember...............................
You have been warned!!!!!

Went three times during our March trip, still great. Introduced various forum members to it. They loved it as much as we do.
Still only 8€ lunchtimes & evenings too. (Closed Monday evening)

It 's not freshly baked bread at Jaen's, Dean & Caroline. That comment was made by fibb yuk. Jaen's serve baguettes with their home made alioli. Address is Avda del Pais Valenciano 49 which is the main road through Guardamar town.

Please do not mention the ali oli! Soooooo delicious. For me, it is the best part of the meal.
Red wine from the barrel also good. We always bring a plastic bottle of vino tinto back home with us.

Gypsy, so glad you enjoyed it. We certainly intend going a few times on our next (imminent) trip. The atmosphere is just so good, isn't it ? Vincente, the owner, is such a sweetheart. He even took our litre water bottle to the barrel with red wine in & filled it up & gave it to us. He just seems to adore seeing his diners enjoy his food & they work hard too. It's always busy.
He was overwhelmed when six of us left a very good tip as he'd given us many extra dishes & the wine flowed all night, not just what was expected. He kept saying 'too much, too much !!' We said he must take it, it's very little anyway really.
I enjoy Jaen's far more than going to places at double his price. I like the fact that no one needs to dress up too, we turn up in any glad rags.
