I sometimes wonder if recession spells c.o.m.p.l.a.c.e.n.c.y. As an observation rather than a criticism I am amazed at the number of businesses, especially restaurants that do not provide an email address.
My article, The 12 Email Advantages over the Telephone, was published several times.
It was an exercise in futility. In one directory there is about 100 restaurant adverts (so they need the business). Only one or two provided an email address.
Frustrating, it is like telling someone it is raining. They won’t believe you but they won’t go out and have a look.
