I have read about a shop in Torrevieja (and of course I can't find the thread now I want it) that has really good quality towels etc. We are moving to spain shortly and bringing furniture from the UK and could bring towels etc. but would it be worth it. Are they as good as the ones we'd buy in UK any advice appreciated. By the could anyonre e-mail a map highlighting where the shop is or directions.
Thanks

Hi Young
I'm sure you're talking about Yorkshire Linens. They have shops all over & they are excellent. I was looking in the one in Quesada on our last trip. That one is just inside the Quesada Arches. Turn left just inside the arches right in front of the garage & drive along that road past shops on your left. It's just along there on the left. Beautiful towels, bedding & other things like curtains. I'll try & find out about one elsewhere if you want me too.

Hi Young
We bought ours at Ikea in Murcia. I have a 'thing' about towels with a flat bit without pile at each end as that bit tends to shrink up and the towels won't lay flat. Ikea do some with just a hem and they are really excellent quality. We also bought some sheeets etc. and pillows from Carrefour in Torrevieja. I thought the Yorkshire Linen shop was quite expensive, but that's because I'm probably a tightwad!!!

HI Young, we took our towels with us to Spain as our local co op was selling Christie towels half price so I bought a few sets with bath mats to match. the same with sheets but we did buy some from Carrefour and pillows. Hi Irene and Alan I think we might have met you was their at Easter I think. Regards Pat

We bought LOADS of stuff at Yorkshire Linen in Torre. - excellent quality and good prices (and the Ferrari coffee shop next door does decent coffee, too!)
Just beware, though, if you buy BEDS in Spain, the linen at Yorks is UK size, and fitted sheets etc don't fit proper, 'cos Spanish beds are a bit shorter and a bit narrower than British! Apart from that, absolutely no worries whatsoever.
Steve.
