Just got back from San Javier airport and there are several Guardia Civil officers booking parked cars outside the terminal building. Advice is don't leave your car and be nice to the officers and you won' get booked or towed.

Despite what is being said to the contrary, MJV has got very busy over the last few weeks! From what I have seen of them, the police officers - several at times - have been politely 'persuading' drivers to abide by the rules and use the car park, the charges for which are very reasonable, especially when compared with East Midlands or Birmingham!
