Hello everyone,
I wonder if you anyone can help please?-I used to live in Barcelona and have had a bank account with Caixa Catalunya since 2008. It's a current account with a credit card but I don't owe any money on either and have had to suddenly move back to the UK for personal reasons. As of next month there will be no more money going into the account and I'd like to close it from the UK as I will no longer be able to afford the commissions (which are quite high!).
The most logical course of action is obviously to contact my branch and ask how best to proceed but I thought I'd just ask everyone in case they give me problems.
Does anybody have experience with this please?-I'm worried they might make it difficult and insist I come into the branch to do it personally which is really not an option at the moment. I also wonder if they charge a fee for closing it?
Any help of advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks a lot :-)
Lisa.
