Moving to Spain
The Comments |
I am planning to move to Spain for several reasons. I have lived in Canada for many years but have dual citizenship (Canadian and UK/EU) I am a doctor with a specialty in the dementias and plan to work a couple of days a week by having my own memory clinic. As I'm sure you know, one can only assess cognitive impairment if one is a native speaker of the same language as well as having extensive neurological/geriatric experience, as I have. I know that there are a number ot English speaking Baby Boomers in Spain who are concerned about these issues but have nowhere to turn because they can't find an English speaking neurologist for assessment.
I am looking for a villa or apartment for long term/renewable rental anywhere from Bolnuevo to Torreviejo I am not looking for a holiday rental that seems a concept difficult to get across to rental agents. I am, of course, a non-smoker and have one small very quiet cat. I would be grateful for any suggestions provided. I hope to move at the beginning of next year.

Can't speak for the area you're looking in specifically, but probably rental agents mainly only deal with holiday lets because there's very little money to be made from long term lets. I would suggest trying a portal such as idealista.com (available in English) where you will find plenty of private owners offering long term lets.
Good luck with your home hunting and business venture!
