Long Term Car Rentals

Hi All,
we are spending longer periods in Spain and have discovered that many car rental companies will not allow a hire of more than one month. Last time, we had to return the car to Murcia arport - simply to show it - and start a new contract. Please does anyone know any company who will allow longer rentals ?

Why not by a car?
Leave it at the airport for apporx 300€ per year unlimited pick up drop offs etc.

How many months throughout the year do yo require a hire car if it's only a 3 month's throughout the year then carry on renting a car if it's more you should consider buying a car.
