We have clearly defined forum rules, however  many of it's most verbal and prolific membership take no notice of them at all, there appears to be an epidemic of nimbyism. wink

WTF? We've gone through Spanish laws, insurance & community rules and now we're on to forum rules?? What forum rule has been broken here, and what the heck does "an epidemic of nimbyism" mean? (I know the literal meaning, I just have no idea what it means in this context)

NIMBY definition. Acronym for “Not In My Back Yard.” A term for a person who resists unwanted development, such as manufacturing plants, prisons, power companies, or chemical companies in his or her own neighborhood or town.

No mention of pools, water or blow up slides either.

The three communities where I have owned and all the others where I have stayed have forbidden in community rules:

Diving, Jumping, splashing, toys and airbeds. (Childrens boyancy aids allowed).

Most enforce the use of showers and ban drinking glasses and where I am at the moment bans food and drink.

Most also have the rules prominently displayed.

A pump up slide would get short shrift under the jumping/splashing/toys headings.

I have noticed however that some tend to say they have the presidents permission for activities when they do not. This allows them to continue with the activity in the short term.
