Iberia beckons

I've had it with Brexit. Time to put feelings into actions and am looking at prospectives move to Spain or Portugal. Here goes.

Don't get caught in the rush of folk travelling in the opposite directiion.

I still have the little matter of persuading my wife to contend with but as events/mood develop over here I'm sure my work will be done for me. Once you get back here you will most likely get a chance to take part in referenda after all: Surrey Council is kicking off by suggesting a referendum to increase council tax by15% in order to cover social care costs. Now it's the turn of local authorities to abdicate responsibility for governance. It's all the rage here.

Well, the more people who do leave, the more social care will diminish in numbers and the more housing will become available.  

Perhaps then housing may be more affordable (even in Surrey) and the less need for councils to raise money.   

If you go, please make sure you take your social care and health visiting with you, and sell your house at a reasonable price.  Then go and enjoy the sun.
