No internet in Mijas Golf

Hi, many residential properties in Mijas Golf, plus the Tamisa Hotel and Mijas Golf Course have had no internet since last Friday. Official explanation for this is that copper cables have been stolen and nothing will be fixed until after Easter?? Is anyone else having the same problem and also has anyone been updated by Telefonica. I work from home and this is proving to be a nightmare. Many Thanks, Jane
