Finding a job and rental home

Hi all,

My partner and I will be moving to Pontevedra, Galicia next summer and we need to find a job and a place to rent.  We would prefer to secure these before we move.

Would anyone have any advice or helpful suggestions?  Also any advice regarding anything we may not have considered (such as registering with places or local authorities etc) would be most welcome too.

Unfortunately your post is a bit vague and maybe that is why you are not getting the multiple replies you expected. Could you just add a little bit more information?

If you and your partner are looking for jobs I presume you are both fluent in Spanish. You don’t say what jobs you want but mention local authorities, did you mean jobs there or did you mean rent a corpy house?

Beware if you rent privately, you will have to put down a deposit/bond, that translated into Spanish as you know means gift.
