Hi all

myself and my family have moved to Spain and would like to set up a home for ourselves in Ciudad Quesada,

We are a family of four, (myself, my husband and my 2 sons) we also have our dog Narla. We have 3 other children two of which are still travelling the world ( if only we could go back to our youth :) ) and two grandsons with a third on the way.

I know this is nearly impossible out here but we are looking for a large villa of 4 or more bedrooms with private swimming pool, unfurnished as our whole lifes possesions are in storage. As stated above we are a big family and would like a big enough villa so that our children could come home at any time.

If anyone could help then I would be more than grateful.

Angie

Hello Angie and welcome to EOS the best forum in Spain.

So you are already living in Spain with the family and the dog Narla.

There is a rental section at the top of the page that members pay for.

How much do you want to pay to rent a large villa 4+ bedrooms with private pool, excluding utilities and pool maintenance? I might just know someone.cool

Hi Kavanagh,

thank you for replying. I’m not sure of rental prices in ciuldad Quesada, I’m currently in Sucina.

Im open minded to rents as looking around there seems to be a very big margins. If there is a villa available that would be so great.

We are driving over that way to meet an estate agent from Corruso estates to look at one but with communal pool which is not what we wanted really, but we were hoping to move over for the start of the school new year.

Kindest Regards

Angie

Hi Angie

I don’t think Ciuldad Quesada rental prices are any different to anywhere else. In coastal Spain it’s not like the UK, snotty village vs scum bags in the corpy estate. It’s more a case of chance’s looking for a mug.

I was just trying to get an idea what you wanted to pay in order to save everyone’s time. What’s the point of looking at what you cannot afford?

I am sure you already know to be careful when renting, deposit/bond translated into Spanish means gift. I doubt you will be able to take Narla into the communal pool.

You can PM me with what you want to pay if you want to keep it top secret.

My mates villa has 8 bedrooms and a 12 x 8 pool. air con everywhere, he is in Nana Plaza, Bangkok at the moment and for the next  2 years,

Best of luck.

Hi Kavanagh,

no the villa was not as nice as it looked in the photos he sent, so it was not for us at all.

At the moment we are paying €1000 for our villa in Sucina which is a 4 bedroom on Peraleja golf, and I’m sure your friend will want so much more than this. we can only go to €1300 unfortunately and I’m sure this will not be enough considering the size of his villa.

Kindest Regards

Angie

Hello Angie

I am afraid you are searching for the impossible. Most 4 bed + villas will be €2,000+, some even €4,000+ if high quality in a good area. You may have to make compromises like pay more, widen your area, make do with fewer bedrooms, get bunk beds, and do without a private pool. You just simply cannot have a Rolls Royce with Mini money.

Best of luck.

Hi Kavanagh

Thank you so much for your reply and your thought on the quality and prices of the villas here.

The villa I have at the moment for the price I pay is nothing short of a Maserati but unfortunately it is too far out of the way for my sons to socialise with other youth.  I’m sure I will find something I need eventually.

Thank you again for your help.

Kind Regards

Angie

In Quesada this morning and checked out the number of 4 bed plus properties for rent in a couple of the estate agents. There are some with a pool for less than 1,000 a month but seem to be October to May only. I assume the owners either use it themselves in the other months or can get a much larger rental in those months. Probably the latter as even smaller properties charging 500 a month can get that per week in the summer.

Other 4 bed properties are a bit further out like "near" Guardamar (a lovely place, by the way) which says just 4 minutes by car to the town centre or Catral.
