Pre house purchase Walk Through

Seeking recommendations for an English speaking surveyor to do a walk though/snag list on a house that is due to be signed for very shortly in the Murcia region. Gracias.

You should commission a fully qualified and recognise chartered property surveyor, who will provide you with a full written report. You could contact your Spanish bank for a recommendation, but they will want their cut.

The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors(RICS) exists in Spain and there are residential chartered surveyors working across the peninsula and the islands. “Members of the RICS are qualified and experienced professionals offering independent and impartial advice.” 

Others may well be able to advise if their first hand experiences have proven this to be realistic.

Is it still the same that whoever you use for a property survey will include a clause within the survey report stating ‘’thank you for your money, we accept no liability what so ever for a single word written in this survey’’ Yours sincerely Mr Rics.
