211 Form
The Comments |
Hello,
I recently sold my property and need the 211 form to file my capital gains tax. My lawyer said she does not have the form and I have been contacting the purchaser with no reponse. Does anybody know how I can get a copy of my 211 form.
Many thanks,
Serena Thomas

The 211 form is the form used to file the 10% retention a purchaser makes on the purchase price of a property bought from a non-resident. This form is filed by the purchaser or their representative. Of course, you can download a blank form from the AEAT website but that is not what the seller needs. The seller needs the information from the form filed by the purchaser.

Not sure if it's true, but I sold a property last November and was told by the solicitor it takes 12 months to receive the retention monies from the Hacienda, perhaps even longer now with this bug? .

It should be a maximum of 6 months. It took us 2 years plus.
