Need for Coffee - Sandwitch bars

Not being able to go over to Spain untill next year realy doesnt help this. But ive been doing alot of research into Starting up of Coffee Bar (like Costa, Caffe Nero...but obviously alot smaller ;) ) I was just wondering is there need for more in Madrid or along the South coast of Spain?

Or would i be wasteing my time in starting one in the future (3-4 years)

I would say that Spain has somewhat of a cafe bar culture, and as such there is certainly no shortage of cafes, so whether there is a market for any more or not, I wouldn't like to say. I think what makes the difference between whether a cafe is successful or not, apart from quality of service and competitive pricing, is LOCATION! So, if you can find yourself a great location and offer a good service at a good price, and are willing to put in the long hours and hard work often required, there's no reason why you can't make a go of it.
